In the course of our work distributing "Hard To Believe", audiences continually thank us and remind us how important it is to have access to these stories in film. It’s always humbling to hear that, because it means we’re succeeding in the film's mission: to educate the public about organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China.
Inspiring Audiences Worldwide
Audiences of all ages are consistently captivated by the courage of former Chinese surgeon, Dr. Enver Tohti, who stepped forward to tell his experience of removing the organs of a living prisoner. They are inspired by the tenacity of heart transplant surgeon, Dr. Jacob Lavee, who helped change the law to prevent the Israeli people from participating in China’s transplant crimes, as well as the other inspiring characters in the film.

Although forced organ harvesting is an important issue impacting the fundamental ways we understand and treat each other as fellow human beings, it’s not an easy one to tackle! And that’s why we are asking for your help.

With an active outreach team, volunteers, and the support of the International Documentary Association (IDA), we’ve won 14 film awards, created educational materials to accompany the film, and started screenings at colleges across America. But we have only just begun to scratch the surface.
